The Neverending Project
A few years ago I decided to try Hardanger embroidery, a type of Norwegian lace. I did a couple of small projects, learning along the way. I really wanted to make a table runner and found a great pattern on eBay: Janice Love's "Hardanger With Southern Charm". I adapted the placemat pattern to make a 36" table runner which has been in progress for a couple of years now. I have all the kloster blocks finished and am working simultaneously on the blanket stitches and the ship motifs, which are now finished on about half of the project.
