Framing fun...

Last weekend I picked up a couple of frames that came in. After fiddling with the stretching, I got them both pretty straight. I never seem to notice some of the little bits that are off until I've finished putting everything together!

Still plugging away on part 3 of the Mystery Sampler!

Finished Spledor IX

This project wins the award for most hours logged with the magnifying glass. I really like how it turned out though, and I can't wait to get it framed.

I've admired a few of the Heart's Content designs, although I'm usually put off by the prices.

One thing I wasn't sure about: how do people sign these? Or do they? I don't think backstitching would work very well, and initials 'over-1' would be really big. I think I'll just write a note on the back of whatever frame I get.

Splendor IX progress

I'm finally on to the second page of the chart! Working with a magnifier so much is interesting; the picture seems to reveal itself more when you pull back and look at it with the naked eye. While stitching, I didn't even notice the little cross around the woman's neck. I'm wondering who she is? When I first started her, I thought she was Lady Liberty, but now I'm thinking Joan of Arc because of the cross & the flame looking things? If so, that's kind of a morbid thing to hang in the bathroom. Guess I should be thankful that it's not Marie Antoinette on the guillotine. (c:
